Thank You Valerie Bertinelli!

Have you seen Valerie Bertinelli’s video response to a body shamer yet? If you’re a woman, it’s a must-see!

When I was younger, I loved Valerie Bertinelli as an actress in One Day At A Time and then in later years, her starring role in Hot in Cleveland. I enjoy her cookbooks and recipes and now I love her even more for her upcoming book, Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today, and especially for her candid video response to a body shamer.

In some ways, I relate to her SO MUCH. She and I are the same age. She and I both were slim as youngsters and have gained weight as we got older. Now she is championing for all of the women, like us, who have gained some hard-to-lose weight in later years, and also for those who carry a bit of extra weight at any age.

I’m uncomfortable with my weight gain and am working on losing some but I have never been body shamed for it. BUT, I can still remember being shamed for being too skinny when I was young. Body shaming hurts and it should never be condoned by anyone… for ANY reason.

Thank you Valerie! Thank you for sharing your feelings with everyone about this usually-kept-quiet-and-hidden-under-lose-clothing topic. I appreciate you and all of your hard work at every age and at any size!

As an Avon Rep, I hope to make all women feel beautiful and good about themselves too!
