Do you have questions about Alpha Hydroxy? What is it? do I need to add it to my skin care routine? If you’ve been wondering about Alpha Hydroxy, Avon has you covered!
We’re having a major AHA moment—alpha hydroxy acids, that is!
What is AHA? Derived from various plant sources and from milk, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are potent acids that help to gently dissolve the bonds of dead skin cells on the surface, making way for visibly smoother, brighter skin. They’re water-soluble, so they don’t penetrate deep below skin’s surface, but can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and dark spots. AHAs are essentially a dream for most skin types. While examples of AHAs include citric, mandelic and lactic acids, the most famous one is probably glycolic acid. One of today’s top skin care staples, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) can help skin look smoother and years younger.
