How To Amp Up Your Moisturizer For Winter

It’s a fact. Winter causes skin dryness. That’s why you need to amp up your moisturizer for winter.

Even people with normally normal skin will notice a change in the moisture of their skin during the cold winter months. Let’s face it. Dry skin anywhere on your body is uncomfortable and when it’s accompanied by redness, it’s even worse. Since your face is exposed the most during the winter months, it needs extra help to keep it hydrated and comfortable.

There are several reasons for this. Of course, the weather outside being frightful and cold can cause your skin to feel drier than normal and having the heat on inside can also do a number on your skin’s moisture levels. Believe it or not, the snow outside reflecting the sun onto your face can also cause an effect similar to tanning does in the summer and this will cause your skin to feel dry too!

To help compensate for the additional dryness you feel on your skin in the winter, you can switch up your moisturizer to a heavier formula such as going from a lotion to a cream or you can amp up the moisturizer you’re already using.

It’s easy to amp up the moisturizer that you’re already using by adding a drop or two of AVON’s Green Goddess facial oil to your moisturizer before applying it to your skin.

AVON’s Green Goddess facial oil is THC-free, non-GMO CBD that has been sustainably sourced from domestically grown hemp. It’s a topical oil with 100mg of CBD and other plant-based ingredients like hemp seed oil, squalane oil and turmeric. You can use it alone, separate from your moisturizer at the end of your skin care routine, right before you use your sunscreen, but adding it to your favorite moisturizer is a great way to help your moisturizer work even better during the extremely drying winter months.

• Dry oil for easy absorption
