How To Make Perfume Last Longer

  1. Always apply your scent to freshly showered skin. That just goes without saying. Perfume isn’t meant to cover up BO. It’s meant to blend into your clean skin leaving you with a beautiful signature scent.
  2. Moisturize BEFORE applying your scent. For best results, use an unscented moisturizer. The oils in your moisturizer will give your scent staying power.
  3. Spray directly on to your skin especially at the pulse points… your wrists, your neck, behind your ears, inside of your elbows. Avoid rubbing your wrists together because the friction can make the perfume scent to break down and fade away faster.
  4. Let the fragrance dry completely before dressing. The act of putting on your clothes can actually rub the perfume off of your skin.

Additional Tips To Give Your Scent Staying Power

There are several different types of perfume. Some will last longer than others due to the concentration of the oils used to create them. Eau de Cologne or Eau de Toilette will not last as long as Eau de Parfum.

Store your perfume away from the sunlight as the rays can break down the oils faster leaving you with a less intense scent.

And last but not least, don’t shake your perfume bottle! The friction and addition of air will reduce the quality of your scent.
