Although I did do a little pinning at my Online Avon Lady Pinterest account, today was less about setting up my new work at home business selling Avon, and more about taking care of my home and hobbies.
The hubby and I did a little yard work. We had some bushes that needed trimming and with the help of our little friend, Harry, we got that out of the way early in order to beat the heat.
I also put up a pot of tomato sauce with meatballs. I used all fresh herbs from my garden. Yum! I love being able to walk outside and forage through my herb garden for fresh parsley, basil, and oregano. We’ll have some tonight with ravioli and then I’ll save the rest in containers in the freezer so that I can pull it out whenever I don’t really feel like cooking. Which is most days in the summer. I remember the days when I’d have to make a HUGE pot of sauce in order to have enough leftover to freeze but since we’re now empty-nesters, a half pot is plenty.
As far as hobbies go, I really enjoy crocheting. It relaxes me and keeps me from doing too much snacking. You can’t crochet with sticky fingers. Lately I’ve been working on making squares that will eventually be turned into a tote bag. I found the pattern at Kristin Omdahl, it’s her Cosmo Mystery Crochet Along Pattern. I’ve got enough squares started for one tote bag but since I need to make two… two granddaughters means I have to make two of anything I plan to gift them… I haven’t begun putting them together yet. I’ll be sure to share a pic of the finished product when I get there.
That was my Sunday Funday.
How about you? How did you spend your day today? Do you cook? Crochet? Garden? Tell me all about your day in the comments. I love hearing from my readers.
PS… If you’re someone who likes pinning at Pinterest, could I ask you to stop by my new account, Online Avon Lady, and if you like what you see, give me a follow? It’s tough getting people to follow a brand new account. If you do, I’d be ever so grateful. 🙂
Thanks for visiting today!
